Uzbekistan Documentary Received the Venice Film Festival Award

The Uzbek film ‘Ulughbek. A Man Who Discovered the Secrets of the Universe’ received the Cineo award in the category The Best Foreign Documentary at the 74th Venice Film Festival. This was reported by the producer of the film Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva on her social network page.

“The film, directed by Bakhodir Yuldashev and dedicated to the life and scientific heritage of Mirzo Ulughbek, an outstanding medieval scholar and ruler of Samarqand, also won in the category The Best Documentary at the Ischia Film Festival,” Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva wrote.

Music for the film was written by Hollywood composer Walter Afanasieff. A magnificent soundtrack for the film was performed by Uzbekistan’s famous singer Sevara Nazarkhan.
